Support Women Transforming in Recovery This North Texas Giving Day

North Texas Giving Day is right around the corner on September 17 and Early Giving has already begun! Your support directly transforms the lives of women and children at Nexus.

This year, we’re bringing an extra special connection to North Texas Giving Day through a collaborative art piece! For every donation of $25 of more, a butterfly will be added to the dynamic installation. Three butterfly sizes are available and are based on your giving amount. This installation will be displayed at NorthPark Center from September 17 through 30, representing transformation, hope, and the supportive community surrounding each woman at Nexus.

What’s Happening at Nexus

It has been a vibrant and heartwarming season on the Nexus campus as our mothers and children prepared for a new school year! Our kiddos received back-to-school haircuts thanks to generous volunteers, as well as a send-off on their first day of school!

A massive thank you to AT&T, who came out and gave our Child Development Center Gross Motor Room a much-needed repaint, and to Whole Foods, who braved the heat to trim trees and get our garden ready to be planted!

Get Involved During the Holiday Season

It may be hot now, but cooler weather is on the way, and with that comes the holidays! The holiday season is one of the most impactful times of the year on our campus. Volunteers bring warmth, joy, and hope to our clients and their children.

Ways You Can Help This Season

  • Holiday Gift & Drive Support: Collect, sort, and organize holiday gifts, winter apparel, and essential supply drives
  • Campus Event Assistance: Support upcoming events, including the Children’s Halloween Party, Krafts with Kids, and the Children’s Holiday Party
  • Campus Beautification & Prep: Help decorate the campus, common rooms, and residential units to make Nexus feel at home for the holidays

How to Become a Volunteer

All prospective volunteers must attend a mandatory orientation on campus at 5:30 p.m., followed by a routine urinalysis.

Next orientation date: October 13, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. (Upcoming: Nov 10 and Dec 8)
