Recently, the Lela Rose boutique in Highland Park Village provided a dazzling holiday setting for the kickoff to the 2025 Nexus Auxiliary Mothers’ Brunch & Bazaar. Event Co-Chairs Maggie Kipp and Cathleen Griffith welcomed guests to the newly renovated boutique, where the evening buzzed with excitement, elegance, and purpose.
Attendees sipped on festive drinks, snacked on gourmet treats, and indulged in holiday cookies while mingling amidst Lela Rose’s stunning collections. Highlights included the couture line, Lela Rose Ranch-inspired pieces, and the Pearl by Lela Rose collection. Guests had the exclusive opportunity to shop the boutique’s selections, with many trying on, modeling, and even purchasing standout pieces from the Lela Rose Ranch line. 10% of each purchase was generously donated to Nexus Family Recovery Center’s mission of serving as a community of hope and recovery for all women and their families who strive to live healthy, resilient lives.
Pearl President Courtney Denby made a special appearance, captivating the audience with the inspiring story behind the brand. Guests also enjoyed the unique opportunity to secure early tickets and sponsorships for the April 14, 2025, Mothers’ Brunch & Bazaar. This annual event, now in its fourth year, raises critical funds to support mothers as they rebuild their lives and strengthen bonds with their children through Nexus’s transformative programs.
Adding to the excitement, guest and longtime Nexus supporter Michelle Mew won a fabulous raffle prize, featuring Lela Rose goodies and a Nexus t-shirt—an exciting touch that amplified the festive spirit.
Guests in attendance included Lili Luth, Regina Bruce, Carolyn Waghorne, Ellen Moore, Lauren Gillette, Barbara Renfro, Kunthear Mam-Douglas, Nexus Board President Nickoria Johnson, and Brunch Co-chairs Maggie Cooke-Kipp and Cathleen Griffith.
The night was not just about fashion and fun; it was a celebration of hope, resilience, and community. As the Nexus Auxiliary prepares for the upcoming brunch and bazaar, the success of the night’s kickoff is a promising sign of the impact to come. Guests left inspired, with chic new additions to their wardrobes and hearts full of gratitude for the vital work Nexus continues to do.
